Saving the best for last! I was most pleased with these four, especially the hellebore. It doesn't look very festive, but it's also called a Christmas Rose, because it bloomed at Christmas back when we used the Gregorian calendar.
I think I tweeted about the dogwood from this twiggy set at the time, because it was the only one I had to redo. Coincidentally, it was also the only one where I didn't use reference, so there's a lesson in there.
A bit out of season, but here are last year's Christmas cards! I tried some simple botanical paintings this time and I was honestly really surprised by how well they turned out. I'd like to try some more for other seasonal plants. 🌿✨
