@beer_mat_movies @pitlane_girl @MarkLaneF1 It's quite simple. The electric motor (MGUK), that usually powers the car from the battery. Works as a generator when the brakes are applied. In this mode it creates drag, that then slows the wheels, while also putting energy back into the battery.

How do you plug in an #F1 battery?
These two connectors hanging below the car, are the connectors that join the hybrid motors to the battery (via the control electronics).
NB the white caps are protective covers and are removed before being plugged in
