Here's the 8th Christmas character in this month's series: everyone's favorite pelt-clad, present-delivering, whip-wielding, curmudgeonly forest hermit, Nicolas-in-Fur himself... #BELSNICKEL!
Whoops, almost missed posting a #SchweizersWarriorWednesdays! Here's an archer from the Gupta Empire in India in the 4th century. His covered quiver suggests that humidity is an issue where he's stationed, so he'd have been more likely to use a bamboo longbow than a composite.
The Hobbit movie *I* want is less than two hours long and has Tommy Lee Jones as the voice of Smaug
Question for geology/geography/caving friends: I doubt that this sort of formation (a "roofless" cave/a recession under a prominent outcropping hemmed in on all sides) is really a cave, but I don't know if there's a geographical term for it, and if there is, I'd love to learn it.
I'm wrapping up issue 2 of the not-yet-announced comic I'm doing with @TheKyleStarks and there is a lot of car chasin' in it, so that's been fun.
The @SchweizerCraft #RobinHood wooden figure set is in production and will go up for sale in the next couple of weeks. Here are the drawings that I used to make 'em!
(boy, do I love Robin Hood)
Hey, friends! I have a new book coming out tomorrow! It's part of @01FirstSecond's HISTORY COMICS series, and it's called...
*ROANOKE: AMERICA'S FIRST MYSTERY*
If you've got an interest in history, or know a kid that does, I hope you'll pick up a copy.
Did a D&D livedraw with Table Titans this evening, here's what I ended up with (the theme was, loosely moonshining):
I'm gonna be doing a set of wooden toys featuring the characters from Anne of Green Gables. The book spans fiveish years but I'm doing the designs based on the first two (excepting that Miss Stacy's part of the set). Here are my initial pencils for post-adoption Anne.
First of the nonhuman adventurer characters for the #fantasy toy sets: meadow gnomes and mountain gnomes (so named to avoid copyright in the first and a gut feeling that there’s some baggage in fantasising the term “dwarf” in the second).
