Fallen Angels, François Cibot (1833)
The Grief of the Pasha, Jean-Léon Gérôme (1882)
The Repentant Magdalen, Wtewael (1620s)
i've gone back to 2014 and after 8 years of doing spn art i still haven't topped this piece. this is peak performance
my self-proclaimed job title is "draw kim and bri with dragons and large swords at any available opportunity"...-er
@KelsiSPhoto i know, but we did collaborate on a piece once. he was the line artist
i enjoy drawing faces a *lot.*
from super goofy to technically difficult, capturing a likeness or getting an image to exude a feeling that can be felt by the person viewing the work is something i always try—and love—to do ✨
also i really like drawing the >:) face #FaceYourArt
coupla nerds doin their nerd things
done all 5 of these pieces with three main tools (all japanese i believe, rec’d to me by some fantastic inkers) and dr. ph. martin’s inks with teeeeeny tiny paint brushes. have a couple more planned!
2009 ⏭️ 2019
10 years ago i also said "i can't draw" almost every day, until i realized that was somewhat counterproductive
outside of work i've really been wanting to start a portrait series that features a lot big, fluffy, free-hand clouds. pretty quick study done yesterday to see how i liked it, used @chrisschmelke as unsuspecting victim
gif process to follow!
