I just fricking remembered I also did this one in a page separate form the rest sry aang you’ve been forgotten by the megathread

Ahh frick here’s the extraneous: old pieces I recycled and colored to save hand strength and one I did in all regular colored pencil as a test (that hurt and I regurt)

And after all these practices of all shapes and sizes (and more importantly color) (and exposing the weeb I am), I was able to arrive where I am now, comfortable with a medium I lowkey didn’t know existed till I actually took the time to read the case of my colored pencils

In the midst of all these drawings my hand started being a lil bitch (im joking pls don’t overwork urself or body it’s not funny it’s a serious thing that can do serious damage), so I had to take it easy and just color some old works for practice (not pictured bc lazy)

The strategy, technique, even knowledge of the medium is different. I drew the first one w/o knowing they were watercolor pencils, and thinking I could work with pencil lines!
My goal was to learn how to use colored pencils to color my paper drawings, and I think I’ve achieved it

Well, here’s the finale; it’s been a time.
My boy Cody has come back and is looking more colorful than ever before.
I decided to do an orig pose/outfit, along with one that mimicked the first practice I ever did just to show the contrast.

This practice is oc who’s jacket I drew in colored pencil on the 3rd day
It’s crazy how much new confidence I have coloring and I want to continue after #MarchusAnnus
I tried a color thing to get a pastel look on the shirt w/o it just looking desaturated

I was gonna do full body but doing four fully detailed characters is hard enough and I don’t want to demolish my hand again 🙃
I’m kinda living for Jirou-colored Midoriya ngl that outfit is actually so aesthetic and I love it
I’m rly happy with the saturation on this one

Fricking love the blending on tanjiro and shinobu’s hair

So I did the lines for this practice last night in a weird fever dream where I stayed up way too late binging Ascendance of a Bookworm then decided at some point to stop and color in the morning, not my best, but I think the color mixing for this one went well.
