This is the first thing I’ve drawn using the technique I learned during #MarchusAnnus , def happy I did learn it bc doing crap like this is srsly fun

Ahh frick here’s the extraneous: old pieces I recycled and colored to save hand strength and one I did in all regular colored pencil as a test (that hurt and I regurt)

And after all these practices of all shapes and sizes (and more importantly color) (and exposing the weeb I am), I was able to arrive where I am now, comfortable with a medium I lowkey didn’t know existed till I actually took the time to read the case of my colored pencils

Yeah, also there’s only four more pgs left in this book so I barely managed to last this month w/o having to start all over on another paper type (can’t go buying proper paper for watercolor either bc is want to be able to see the material before buying and quarantine :’))

In the midst of all these drawings my hand started being a lil bitch (im joking pls don’t overwork urself or body it’s not funny it’s a serious thing that can do serious damage), so I had to take it easy and just color some old works for practice (not pictured bc lazy)

I went through strategies with trial and error, and for some just had to wing it to see what would happen, but gradually I think I definitely got a better handle on things

The strategy, technique, even knowledge of the medium is different. I drew the first one w/o knowing they were watercolor pencils, and thinking I could work with pencil lines!
My goal was to learn how to use colored pencils to color my paper drawings, and I think I’ve achieved it

Well, here’s the finale; it’s been a time.
My boy Cody has come back and is looking more colorful than ever before.
I decided to do an orig pose/outfit, along with one that mimicked the first practice I ever did just to show the contrast.
