Working on this spot illustration of a Haast’s Eagle for one of the “Extinct” book series by @ben_garrod that I am illustrating. I forgot how long and powerful their legs were. Their head was long as well, yet they are closely related to the Little Eagle of Australia #paleoart
A preview of one of the plates in my book (in preparation). Here are the #Drepanosaurs and sphenodontians of the Petrified Forest and Rock Point members of the Chinle formation. I might reduce this to just the PF member and take Dolabrosaurus out of the plate. #paleoart #sciart
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a VERY happy, AMAZING 2021 for all of us! From me and these Dimorphodon, Longisquama and Yutyrannus #paleoart #sciart #HappyHolidays
I just saw a live press conference about this! I haven’t read the paper but it is REALLY cool! Really good evidence for lagerpetids being Pterosauromorphs. Also this previous sketch I did a while back quite relevant now 😊 https://t.co/pe7bYhk1nN
Last night I did some quick sketches of Parasaurolophus and it’s now even thicker neck (!) based on a recently published hypothesis by @Paleofolk et al. I need to update the Parasaurolophus in my personal library so I might develop one of these #paleoart #sciart #dinosaurs
Did some quick sketches of this guy tonight inspired by the recent paper about its neck musculature. I’ll tweet the entire ser of sketches tomorrow probably #paleoart #sciart #dinosaurs
Im staying in Cretaceous Africa for today’s sketch/speedpaint. A pair of Spinosaurus foraging and hanging out in the water. #paleoart #sciart #dinosaurs
Morning warmup speedpaint/sketch. Suminia, one of my favorite therapsids. Suminia was a small arboreal anomodontian therapsid (so distantly related to us mammals) that lived during the Late Permian in Europe #paleoart #sciart #synapsids
