Ugh. It turns out I found the one FOMO thing in my life. Neat-looking boardgames that are only ever available via crowdfunding campaigns.
Case in point: Sleeping Gods, which I'd never heard of, has a sequel. It looks very fun, but I already have campaign games I don't ever play.
@jwilson1812 In by Will McPhail. A young man in his, I'd guess, 30s is successful enough in his job as an illustrator, but his interactions with others meet the surface criteria but are ultimately hollow as he cannot figure out how to connect with another person.
@jwilson1812 Journal Of My Father by Jiro Taniguchi (tr by Kumar Sivasubramanian). A beautifully drawn story about a man and his relationship to a withdrawn father and how quiet, unresolved misunderstandings blossom into a life of What Could Have Beens.
@jasonshiga Minna Sundberg uses little flags when the language characters are speaking matters.
Posting the prologue to Hollow World again, this time with sentence casing on the lettering.
The origin of this book is that my wife bet me I couldn't write a story with an actual plot.😅 From the prologue at least, she's winning that bet - but stuff starts happening in chp 1! https://t.co/mWokFAPlyB
And the final two pages of the prologue. Not really happy with the sky here, will probably redo.
My original plan was to hire a letterer friend to lay out the lettering and then I would hand-letter according to those layouts, but... I'm broke? Still want to do this, so we'll see
WTH the next episode is Grandad. I'm just going to be a mess today aren't I?
