I'm still in the camp of "Nothing deconfirms anything".
With how many different games and Smash itself has added and removed things no problem*, I doubt something like a post game spirit, mii outfit, or Assist Trophy is going to stop them from making something a character.

I just had a fun idea!

Wayforward made an ideal costume set for Shantae back during the Smash Ballot, making it nearly perfect since the idea came from them.
But I feel since we've had a couple more games since then, we could add a couple more to the list just for fun. Do you have any ideas?

Brings something new to the table. (Shantae being able to transform)
