A little (belated) Father’s Day drawing to continue my tradition of drawing my OCs on these holidays. Minerva and her papa Cornelius at sea in the mid 1840s. (Think Darwin as a chaotic bisexual widower who brought his kid along on the voyage of the Beagle.) Happy Father’s Day! ✨

And that’s the ENTIRE MAIDEN LANE SERIES! I can’t believe we started the readalong in February and that I managed to draw scenes from all twelve books! I hope you have enjoyed this as much as I have! (And now back to mermaids lol…)

Maiden Lane book twelve, Iris and Raphael from Duke of Desire! My first time drawing a facial scar like this. I was also interested in their light/dark dynamic. More on Insta, as always, coloring pages up soon.

#MerMay Day Thirteen. An undersea make out session with lots of bright colors is apparently what my brain wanted. Challenge: make it clear they are mers without showing their tails!

#MerMay Day Four! Yes I’m behind now because I went too hard and got extra with the details on this (lol four arms? WHY NOT?) but I don’t care because it was so much fun ✨

#MerMay Day Three. These two are about to have their first kiss! Inspired by the famous kiss scene from A Room With A View, one of my favorite films — I wanted to play with lighting (always need practice!) I could have done better with light and shading, but a good experiment! ✨

#MerMay Day Two. Pulled in the #FableMay prompt NORTH and did a whole coldwater mer (her markings are inspired by an Arctic char) and polar bear shifter romance scenario because WHY NOT. Gave me an excuse to try new things like drawing ice! More about this story on Insta ✨🧜🏼‍♀️🐻‍❄️

#MerMay has begun! Mixing it up and trying some new techniques and brushes. I like to use the monthly challenges to play so… things are gonna get a bit crazy! Histrom stuff will continue but part of my heart is undersea so… bear with me and enjoy! ✨♥️🧜🏼‍♀️
