Revisiting the titular Giselle once more. Beneath her grief and agony she still chooses to love despite tragedy. It’s a beautiful and poetic tale with a lesson I always come back to even after all these years.
This week there’s a production of Giselle playing in my town and I’m reminded again about how much this ballet means to me.
In school I centred my character design class after Giselle and reimagined the characters. I finally finished a Queen Mythra to go with my Giselle!
The thing that made Enchantix so profound to me was the idea of sacrifice for this greater power. Tecna’s sacrifice to save the whole magical dimension stuck with me even years later. While later seasons tackled other challenges, Enchantix will always be such a standout!
Brave and bold Aisha was the first to gain her Enchantix powers and her design was a beautiful introduction to season 3. Her Enchantix also had two versions depending on when you watched the series! I thought it would be fun to include both! 💕
Whoops I totally forgot to add the fairy dust on her necklace just pretend that I totally didn’t forget! 😌
