It was at this moment it clicked for me finally.

The dialogue between them feels like the remaining staff of KyoAni, talking to those passed on. There's worry about the future, and that the day is ending. But in true Kobayashi fashion, she says not to worry about too much.

Everyone's having a great time, but Tohru and Kobayashi are off by themselves in the corner, sharing a drink.

There's something in the way Tohru looks at her, curiosity and worry settle into comfort, like she's remembering when they first met, and like nothing's changed at all

but the second half was where it sold it for me

it starts off well enough, a gag here about Tohru going overboard for Kobayashi, holding an arm wrestling tournament, Kanna's eating random things again, the boys playing Monster Hunter...

Tohru's picked up cooking at a maid cafe, Elma's settling in at her workplace and learning from Kobayashi, Kanna's making new friends, a new dragon has joined the home and is living happily with everyone else.

Without saying your age, post two of your favorite games from the year you turned 13. https://t.co/DFD5lYVlq7

The second the first frame came in, I said "already, I fkin love this"

by the end of episode 1, Sonny Boy is a runner for best in the year

All the while, they've completely ignored Tamako's side of things.

What's weird is that this is kinda stock standard usually. Tamako, despite being the main character of the show, is usually supporting someone else who's story takes centerstage for the episode.

Its clear throughout the episode that Tamako cares way more for Usagiyama than for some prince looking for a bride. In a way, it straight up takes my thoughts from episode 2 and tests the stretch limits of it

Ultimately though, the solution stays the same. Support, connection, warmth and kindness from your friends.

That goes for most everyone, and every thing. Have a support group. That stuff's important.
