When using Extreme Gear, Sonic typically uses normal stance while Jet's preferred stance is goofy. Another fine detail that makes them opposites.

Knuckles' shyness around girls is actually a trait that was pretty consistent in the games prior to the noticeable switch in writing. Very few of his lines were ever directed towards any female characters except Rouge, even when they were present and conversing.
Sonic and Knuckles are the only characters who have retained their Japanese voice actors voicing them in all of the Sonic games since Sonic Adventure.
On IDW's #35 A cover, there is a Chao that has a rock for headwear and wears a tag that reads the number "8." This is a reference to a SpongeBob SquarePants episode where Patrick enters in his pet rock as a participant in a Snail Race and is given the race number of "8."
