The fact that Knuckles' fur color changes from red to green when he becomes Chaos Knuckles in the Archie comics may be a reference to the fact that he was originally designed to be green before Sonic Team later decided on red.

Caliburn's face is almost only shown in the cutscenes for Sonic and the Black Knight outside of one piece of promotional artwork for the game and his sprite art from Sonic Runners.

Bonus fact: He is the only character whose mouth moves in non-3D cutscenes in the Black Knight.
