According to #IDWSonic headwriter Evan Stanley, the comics have a canon gay couple: Nite & Don, who were introduced in the #SonictheHedgehog 2020 Annual story “Darkest Hour.”

Comic characters have more wiggle room for this, and Stanley needed to make it part of their pitch bios.
