I'm about halfway through editing this WIP before I start recruiting betas!
Steampunk "Gangs of New York" in a dried up city where she who controls the water holds the power.
I'm in love with this story and I hope some other people will like it too.
Good night everyone!
@JLeighBralick 3: I have the eyes and lips on their own layer.
The purple in her hair was a clipped layer with the 'color' blending mode. It let me change the color while keeping the different values!
And I finished the lightning here.
@JLeighBralick 2: I always start with skin, so clip a new layer above your base. Now you can't color outside that boundary! Use a hard pressure brush and lower the brush opacity (40%) and flow (20%) and start shading with a warmer, darker color of skin tone.
@JLeighBralick 1: Ok, so I have my lineart and my base colors first.
Lineart: Pick a dark reddish brown color and set the blending mode to multiply, drop the opacity down ~60%
Base: I made 3 different layers: skin color, the stone, and the rest. Your shading layers will CLIP onto these ones.
I finished another piece of art for @thedragonprince
It's Claudia!! And I felt like giving her the primal stone because lightning is fun. This was SO much fun to paint!
