imagining maria doing that wonder showzen segment of asking wall street bankers "when the revolution comes, where will you hide?"
as for jessica, her vibes are "famicom Atlus character" and "PS1/2 era Atlus character"
original art battler, however, obviously has catboy energy, but it is a specific kind of catboy energy. this is not generic catboy energy. no, this is "roleplayed as a catboy on deviantart and AIM chatrooms" catboy energy. or, to put it another way, he is a recolor of himself
i like original art maria's energy a lot. she's got that "depressed cousin dragged to her own birthday party she doesn't wanna be at" vibe on lock here. like a character in a hypothetical third 90s addams family movie, a new friend for wednesday or such
just 40 minutes of low camera quality manzai comedy, a terrible "i like to ski" segment, and then Downtown absolutely obliterates them at a comedy competition
okay in original art, kanon's got way more "oh mama, may we go to the docks and see the sail ships? i've been ever so good" energy and in the new art it's more "supporting character from forgettable early-mid 00s manga/anime, a D.N.Angel or what have you"
and if you really, truly, badly needed to take the first game in a cartoonier direction in the art you could've, should've just... paid steve purcell again!
