This one was inspired by the great short story Case of Nanaki, which was part of the larger On the Way to a Smile series. The story sees Red XIII adopt two bear cubs, and also details what happens when he really loses his cool.

Red XIII dressed up as a Shinra soldier is one of the best things in any video game ever, and leaving aside the fact that he thinks "humans only look at appearances anyway," I have no idea how he didn't get caught.

Marlene gives the big kitty some face rubs. Red XIII likes to make a show of not enjoying it when people pet him and treat him like an animal -- he just puts up with it. (But the secret is that deep down, he loves it.)

(I wish there was a better way to tag posts with keywords than just randomly writing Red XIII and Nanaki at the bottom of every picture.)
