The newish MARVEL TEAM-UP#1 tries to do a weird thing. It tries to convince readers that Pete has had a lifelong relationship with a character we've never seen before: Yesenia Rosario. Why not dust off an older character from his ESU years?
If there is one thing to know about Spider-Man mystery villain reveals... they are typically hugely disappointing.
Spencer has said specifically that he wants us to "Guess my name...". I don't think he meant "Kindred" (though I still prefer Shush). I can only hope there is something more clever here than another Harry Osborn rebirth into a new identity.
Kindred even expresses sorrow at one point, wondering why he shares Peter's experience of thinking he'd have a good life.
With all the repetition of the images of MJ, Flash, Harry, and Gwen in ASM #30-31, could it be that there was some unspoken, unobserved connection, beyond the strained "love triangle" that connected these innocent youths?
A few issues prior (ASM #116), Peter rushed to Gwen Stacy to ask her about his concerns regarding Flash Thompson:
But, if anyone would know why Harry was driven to depression it would be MJ, his girlfriend at the time. But the only real clue to Harry's anger is that scene from #118 where he seems to be fixating on Gwen, not MJ.
