@gerryconway Yessir. SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (vol. 2) #22. The @mypauljenkins run is excellent throughout, but this issue was extra memorable to me for that reason.
It makes me happy that in 2019, with comics typically going for bombast and dramatic upheavals of status quo, that we can still get a comic like SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN: SELF-IMPROVEMENT where Ron Frenz and Tom DeFalco can still deliver the things I love most about the character.
George Stacy's legacy is alive and well in the pages of modern Spider-Man comics. But why? Is it Kindred-related? It's been a straight year of these references...
I don't know where the Spider-Office is headed with this (looking at you @nick_lowe_), but I'm on to you guys! So you should "LOOK OUT"! (1/2)
I just realized that in SPIDER-GWEN: GHOST SPIDER, written by @seananmcguire, she faces off against Dinoswarm. It's like my 2 favorite joke stories combined ("War of the Reptile Men" & "Enter: Swarm!") in a way I couldn't imagine. @ChasingASMBlog has to come up with a new voice!
Just be careful that Spider-Man doesn’t get associated with death or graves or anything... we wouldn’t want that to happen.
I just want to make it known that @studiesincrap predicted this exact moment back in our review of the first part of HUNTED. Props to him for guessing and Nick Spencer for doing something different with these characters.
I love that the new MARVEL TEAM-UP is centered around the adventures of Ms. Marvel instead of Spider-Man. Kamala is the perfect fill-in for the type of character the Spider-Man used to be. This is a great fit for that title.
@JoeyVazquezart AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #375 was my 1st comic ever and boy... what a comic it was! Bagley's art became an obsession of mine. I was particularly taken by how the tendrils of Venom's mask wrapped around his head. I was thrilled to interview him a few years back: https://t.co/Sk3GdTsY7l
