#SuperSamiRoll is a 3D rolling platformer that reminds me of a mixture of Sonic and Monkey Ball. Its controls can be a bit floaty and slippery at times but for the most part it does the job well. While the level design is good but the real star of the show is the soundtrack!
I never played #CorpseParty before, but now I understand why the name is well known in the horror genre. As a narrative focused experience based on exploration and puzzles, it's great! Your choices affect the outcome, and it's a very replayable & worthwhile game because of it.
I get that #Cotton100% is not exactly the most modern game. It came out in 1994, and being re-released on modern platforms was gonna show its age. Yet, compared to shoot'em-ups of its time, this game is sluggish and shooting isn't fun. Other games in the series are a better pick.
Ever tried thinking about how a Tactics game like #Disgaea would work as a step-based rogue-like puzzler? #Evertried certainly thought to attempt this and succeeded quite well! It's got a gorgeous art-style and soundtrack. And as tough as it gets, it's absolutely a blast to play.
A port from an old Sega Genesis game, #Gleylancer is pretty much what you'd expect from a shoot'em-up back in the day: fast action, pretty visuals. It shows the genre's golden age, but doesn't really stand out among its competitors. A solid game, but nothing amazing.
The immediate vibe I got from #antonballdeluxe was one of #warioware combined with old-school #mariobros. The end-result is a rather unique platformer that is built around different types of arcade games, like #breakout. This hotchpotch isn't for everyone, but still charming.
#Smashroom leaves me conflicted. I love the somber presentation, but the jumping feels stiff. But using explosions to boost yourself is fun, yet the level-up system feels unneeded. As a platformer, it leaves me feeling mixed whilst also making me appreciate its unique concepts.
Okay, seriously. #SuperHikingLeagueDX shows that #IceClimber could be made into a viable franchise. The presentation is colorful & pleasant, the game is fun to play, and there's loads of options. Major props to @bitinkstudios & @qubytegames for creating such a fun experience.
#Foreclosed is pretty much what you'd want a dystopian stealth-shooter action-adventure to be. Gameplay is solid and the story is okay. I enjoyed my 4 hours with this although there's not much I hadn't already seen before in other games. Still, solid game by @AntabStudio!
I love the concept of playing a first person shooter with a boomerang shuriken. #BoomerangX kinda delivers on that front, with a fast-paced experience. The only downside is that making it a waveshooter doesn't do much for the pacing. Still, interesting experience!
