After a spectacular lightshow that might be @VeronicaGandini's finest work in the run so far, Shiva FINALLY says what everyone's been thinking for at least ten issues now, and Katana parries it away with all the dignity and grace of a cinderblock.
So everyone's arrived to the site of the final confrontation: Tokyo, Japan. Ra's gathers his forces while Batman and his assembled Outsiders track down an arms dealer and Veronica Gandini goes absolutely ham on the colors. It's a beaut.
It's been a fun week in Shivaland. We checked out her sole fighting game appearance, a new issue of Outsiders dropped and we got our first look at what might just end up being her best animated version.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring? Well, apart from that Outsiders review.
@DementLeonard Yeah, but Shiva (who debuted in 1975 so really she's more Bronze than Silver) didn't wear red and yellow. She was more green and purple and occasionally blue. And in the 80s she only wore red in one design. Shiva in red and gold wasn't a major thing until Hush.
@Comic_Platypus If the Iron Owl wants to get jealous, that's her prerogative.
If she wants to act upon that jealousy, that's her funeral.
@GailSimone Same. I appreciate how he keeps Shiva cold and distant, but does give her sole visible eye a lot of emotion in that first panel.
Also, the way the pitch black coat and no red undershirt makes her look like a living pillar of darkness.
Not a lot of Shiva content in today's Outsiders but still had a couple of very fun panels.
Also Duke continues to be a cool kid. I like him more and more each day.
From THE BATMAN FILES, Bruce Wayne offers his thoughts on Lady Shiva's skills and they haven't changed much since the first time they met.
@Macoy93548837 Got used for a comedy beat with Etrigan, filled backgrounds for the rest of the movie, then got headshot by a random nameless sniper in the middle of a fight after only shanking like one goon.
