@deadletterpoets What's weird about this is that even without the (completely valid) AU excuse, there is *absolutely* a main universe precedent for Shiva admiring Cass.
I know y'all seen at least that second page before.
But in a world of people who rail against characters like Talia or Poison Ivy being written as anything but irredeemable she-monsters hell-bent on world destruction, it's nice to see folks being so receptive to the idea that maybe Shiva doesn't have to be a villain all the time.
... making jokes about her being a MILF (as if she wasn't one before), or now crying about DCeased: Unkillables #3 (review coming tomorrow).
Hell, there's FAR more people complaining even now about her getting one-shotted in Apokolips War than maybe becoming something of a hero.
@deadletterpoets Eh, Jade always struck me as a more front-loaded kinda girl.
Huh, I figured it'd just be a cover thing but no, Shiva is totally in today's issue of Jimmy Olsen. Not a particularly big appearance but I wonder if she'll be in the next one.
@deadletterpoets Mostly I'm thinking about how Richard in The Question made a clear distinction between "teaching" and "helping learn." Like this Shiva doesn't want to teach Cass anything (unless she asks), but she *does* want to see her discover herself without the burden of expectations.
