And while Scott's version in the pages of Batgirl would likewise focus more on action than eye-candy, Jim Lee's Shiva in the pages of Batman: Hush would plunge headfirst into all-new depths of vacuum-sealed horniness.
But that was in 2003, and the very next year...
@Lt_Pizzadog @Granttyourwish Yup, as seen in BATMAN CHRONICLES, by Kim Yale and Brian Stelfreeze.
@Granttyourwish To me the difference is this: Shiva doesn't mind killing, but she shouldn't be obsessed with it either. Once you make her a death-junkie she becomes one note, and the story becomes less about her and more about "how can we stop her from killing", which frames her as a villain.
@Granttyourwish To me, the problem with Shiva in the LoA is that their goals don't go well with her own. Shiva at her best enjoys chaotic and anarchic places, while the League wants to cleanse the world of crime. And instead of addressing it they doubled down on her being a zealous fanatic.
Shoutout to the two most important panels in Shadow of the Batgirl.
