It's poetic that most of the good Hanna-Barbera cartoons were created right before the studio died. Kudos to the many artists who got that place out of its then-lifelong gutter, even if it didn't keep the place from going defunct. Got some good shows out of it, at least!
Duck Dodgers was at one point going to be a DTV film, judging by these BG descriptions by artist Micki Zurcher. Glad it ended up becoming a television series in the end, that's the only way I could see the world that Paul Dini and co. conceived of being properly developed.
