@JamarioTouss123 It's inspired by Ronald Searle's artwork specifically, perhaps that's what you're thinking of?
My favorite close-up painting from SpongeBob! (SB-129, Season 1)
Would be fun seeing which of these are peoples personal favorites, now that I think about it.
One of my favorite recent DC Looney Tunes stories would have to be "Taxing My Patience" with Daffy & Egghead. Alvarez's artwork and Fisch's dialogue both help turn an otherwise standard cartoon plot into an entertaining back and forth that could work perfectly AS a cartoon.
More iconic appearances from the duck. What's your favorite Daffy cartoon? https://t.co/NrXtnn6tcC
85 years ago, the Tex Avery classic "Porky's Duck Hunt" hit theaters. In it, audiences were introduced to who would quickly become one of the most beloved characters in animation history: Daffy Duck!
"Samurai Quack" (2005) is a wonderful parody of the Cartoon Network classic. Excellent backgrounds that faithfully keep to the originals art design, & the inclusion of both Mako & Genndy Tartakovsky as guest stars act as the cherry on top. One of the best Duck Dodgers eps!
@WJakko86 @Wierd_o78033920 None of them would've made sense as characters who would feasibly try and kill Bugs.
Also:
Hard to think of a more flawlessly executed Looney Tunes cartoon than 1953's "DUCK AMUCK". Every expression, Mel Blanc's vocal performances, Daffy's visibly growing frustration, and the perfect ending punchline help make it one of the greatest animated shorts period.
Beautiful tribute to the legendary Joe Alaskey (1952 - 2016) by Spike Brandt & Tony Cervone
