I think this is the last appearance for Julie/Portia for quite a while - she clearly loves him, and by golden age standards I guess he must have loved her too ("I... I see!" is

a fight breaks out between Batman and Clayface which, I mean, we know who wins this one. And then the reveal... the person Clayface thought he killed was Robin wearing padding! And Robin was Portia! ... ok.

...I'm just not convinced getting wet would save him from a raging inferno but whatever.

I don't... okay well Bruce is trying to figure out how to not get hit by this truck but I don't really get why he doesn't just move out of the way. Then after he, I guess, manages a daring escape vs this truck he goes to save Robin by getting all wet and running into the fire.

...and then he knocks Batman out but instead of just killing him he decides to go run him over with a truck, I dunno. Then he goes after Robin, knocks him out and... throws a bomb at him, sure why not.

Clayface wants to destroy the studio that fired him, so he's slinking around a yacht set intent on blowing it up, but he ends up fighting Batman in the middle of a miniature city set.

Of course that's not true because this is a Batman story not a slice of life! Which is to say, meanwhile, due to a car crash, Basil Karlo escapes!
