There are several JRPGs that I like, but I don't think there are more series that I follow and I like almost every release.
I love this scene in art direction by Hiroshi Minagawa, which reminds me of works by William Turner.

It's interesting how the so-called first JRPG is also the precursor of the TRPG subgenre: The Dragon and Princess (1982).
In this game, not only are the battles turn-based, but also the movement of units is, and everything takes place on a small-scale battlefield.
