@DarcSowers A new series I've been reading that teen-me would've loved is 'The King's Beast'- very dramatic, angsty, girls disguised as boys, cool fantasy action scenes, romance and murder mystery! Because it's new it's only about 4 volumes now (don't know whether that's useful or not!)
This is Laura- she can be pretty mean to Mia sometimes (although her own friends are often mean to her too!) She's also a HUGE fan of Elle-Q, wants to find out who Elle-Q really is, and has NO idea that it's Mia. What will Mia do to try and hide her secret identity from Laura??
This is Charlie! They are Mia's best friend and fellow musician! They write the music to Mia's lyrics and are super creative~ Charlie is very caring, but sometimes this means they put Mia's wants before their own. How will this effect these two's musical collaboration?
Say hello to Mia! She's autistic and due to sensory issues has what we call situational mutism. This means she gets picked on a lot at school. But Mia also has a huge imagination and writes/sings via her alter ego, Elle-Q. And Elle-Q is getting real big online!!
I'll be announcing the release date and cover for my new graphic novel Speak Up! in February, which'll be in shops in September~ In the mean time, I wanna share some of the main characters with you all in more detail!
Is there a name for the types of people who are well meaning, who are kinda on your side, but who dont completely get it and seem to like the *drama* of your existence a lot more than anything else? Lord Awend is one of those people lol
John is networking and having subtle little romantic glances with Midlen
Okay but my fave thing in this film is how the mountain breaks open, I interpreted it as the breaking down walls you have to do to heal trauma. And the healing of the generational trauma in this film was lovely to watch, I cry every time I watch this whole bit ;_;

Harriet has some big plans for John...he really shoulda come to the meeting to hear about them lol
