This week’s #SundayFishSketch is all about puns. Hypomesus transpacificus, or the Delta Smelt, is an endangered smelt that is endemic to the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta in California. Happy (early) birthday to @Lampichthys!

Polyodon spathula, the American paddlefish, belongs to the family Polyodontodae, a group of fishes that emerged in the early Cretaceous and have since been relatively unaffected by time. This individual, however, succumbs to the consequences of daylight savings. #SundayFishSketch
This is what I meant. Backwards tyrannosaurus bay-bee!! https://t.co/HnHdoh40TJ
For my first #sundayfishsketch, say hi to Petrus rupestris, (or the red steenbras,) a relatively large but rare fish belonging to the family of sea breams and porgies. This species is endemic to South Africa but is now unfortunately endangered due to overfishing.
The dinosaurs! Well… at least some of them? 66 to be exact, all suggested by you!
