My Dachshund #painting is finished. It’s for a friend. I like it.

Two recent works-in-progress. A pencil sketch to prep for a #painting (that a dear friend asked for) and a 1940s scene at a train station (for an #art group monthly challenge). I like the dachshund as she is!

Started a #painting of the Morley library, S. Transept, Winchester Cathedral. Just roughed it in to check perspective and value...more tomorrow (after the Army-Navy game.) Go Army. Beat Navy.

When I picked up the cheap box ($5!) of oil pastels, I also got a box of soft ones. Never worked with them, either. Here's experiment No. 1: a two-masted schooner. Anyone know how you erase mistakes with these things? Will a kneaded eraser do?

Finished, I think. My #painting of .@Deerfield and .@DeerfieldAlumni. Started en plein air, but completed in studio.
