Romantisme. 1700an. Gerakan intelektual. Juga liputi muzik & sastera. Lebih kpd emosi dan perasaan, angin ttg kerohanian, pentingnya bayangan & misteri. Sanjung alam, sejarah & tekankan keindividuan, kebebasan. Perupa - Gericault, Delacroix, Corbet, Goya. Sastera- Poe, Hawthorne.
