#inktober2021day4 KNOT
Another one for #FilipinoAmericanHistoryMonth
Filipinos started to migrate to the US to work on CA and HI farms in the early 1900s. The first wave called themselves The Manongs. They fought alongside Cesar Chavez for fair treatment.

#Inktober2021Day3 VESSEL
This is for #FilipinoAmericanHistoryMonth! This is a Manila galleon, a type of Spanish trade ship that brought the first Filipinos to the continental US in ✨1587✨
(Not all my posts will have #FAHM ties, but I’ll try if I can!)

#Inktober2021 day 1: Fresh.
Since I had a salad with breakfast today, here’s some salad-inspired art!
I saw a huge blue heron today as I was driving 😮 It appeared right next to me (super close to my window) and I won’t confirm that I squealed a bit.
But anyway, it was cool so I drew it.
I missed #NationalBookLoversDay but that’s actually every day, so 🤷🏻♀️ (Revamped print from the archives!)
Some new (or revamped) work! I'm also starting to build a body of work on Behance: https://t.co/obLCDLiBqk
I submitted this to https://t.co/8f9hmrCu6S for consideration! Check out details: https://t.co/LgSjhO3ke3
Voting for the best design starts in about a week, so when that rolls around, I’d appreciate your help! (But I’ll keep you posted closer to the day 😄)
I felt like drawing a tree today. This is one of my favorites, the kukui nut tree (aka, candlenut), Hawaii’s state tree.
Over the years, I’ve been weirdly resistant to illustrating with line work. But I think it’s time to stop resisting because it seems to work!
Here’s an experiment with watercolor and pencil. Still true to my style, but different materials.
I’ve had this beauty stashed away for years now, and it’s been begging to be part of a story.
As of this weekend, I finally have one! It’s a draft right now, but the concept is 🔥🔥 Looking forward to showing developments!
