Okay, we're all in agreement that gay-coded villains are problematic by nature cuz it's a long-standing Hollywood tradition of vilifying queer folk, thanks to the Hays Code & Christian fundamentalism.
So why is it that they wind up being the most BELOVED villains?
So last week I learned that apparently GAY PURR-EE got some airplay on Cartoon Network some time ago.
Meanwhile I didn't even know about this movie until college when my animation history class mentioned it during Pahl's lecture on UPA studio.
