Just managed to retrieve the separate piece that is present for Asha in Monster World's collector's edition. I love them both! But, the right one is more complete to me because she actually has her shield this time around. 🛡️

Today's character feature goes to no other than the first hero of the Wonder Boy series, Bocke (pronounced "Book"). After defeating the extraterrestrial Meka Dragon, he was cursed and traveled the land as several animal forms to gain his humanity back.

Today's Easter egg is also another character feature! The Prince of Dark World is one of many bosses in Monster World 3 that helped Shion defeat the mind-controlling alien, Biomeka. In Monster Boy, his boots make a return as equipment!

Today, we have a fan game showcase that is completely responsible for introducing me to the Wonder Boy series. Lizardmen was developed by Lionsoft and features 8 stages with 3 playable characters.

Recently, we revealed that there are essentially 4 canon heroes in the Wonder Boy saga, but if you've dug deep enough...that's actually not true. There are actually 6. The two seemingly forgotten heroes of Monster World are Leo and Princess Purapril.

Today's character feature goes to the sarcastic and fourth wall-breaking Lamp Spirit. However, he specializes in travel, not wish granting. Otherwise, all Asha would have to do is wish the monsters away, and how fun would THAT be? 🥱

Today's Easter egg is also a character feature! There is one VERY specific statue you'll see across the game that is no other than Eleanora, the fairy queen from Monster World 3. She is the leader of Alsedo and Priscilla's commander.

From Begonia, the dragon village is Lotto (Junior). In Monster World 3, he helps Shion from the moment he hatches from his egg and follows him to the volcano on the summit. In Monster World 4, he is the Earth Spirit. His grandfather is the Elder Dragon.

From Childam, the darkworld village is Shabo. He is a wraith that is under the command of a fortune teller that aided Shion on his journey to the Ice Castle. His weapon is a scythe that acts like a boomerang. In Monster World 4, he is the Moon Spirit.

Today begins the start of the covering of every single one of Monster Boy's references and Easter eggs! The first entry goes to no other than the remake of screen where it all began. There is usually a sign that says "Welcome to Monster World".
