THE STORM OF THE CENTURY - -
The "Super Storm" of March 13, 1993 has gone down in history as one of the largest winter storms on record. Heavy snow and blizzard conditions extended from the Gulf States to New England and from the Ohio Valley to the East Coast
October 4, 2013:
A late-season Central Plains outbreak brought a number of strong/violent tornadoes to Nebraska and Iowa.
Two mile-wide EF4s were confirmed, one in Wayne, NE and the other near Pierson, Iowa.
18 tornadoes were confirmed and 17 people were injured.

January 6th, 1996: A nor’easter paralyzed the East Coast from the 6th to the 8th. In Washington D.C., this storm is also known as the “Great Furlough Storm." There were 154 fatalities and $3 billion in damages. Event overview from @nytimes: https://t.co/HCo4IdnyGS
