I’m looking forward to releasing and, as always, I’ll be posting along the way.
So far, these are a few of my favorites.
Enjoy.
Catch you on the retweet.

Others didn’t make the cut for a variety of reasons. Some my bad. Others cliche. Others just, meh… been through a bit too many. But it’s all an experiment working through the cruft.
I am fascinated by what I am learning about the collection as I am working on it - similar to a novelist getting to know their characters as they work.
I’ve opted to hone in on the individuals and perhaps will save the couples for some other follow on.
The color scheme was something I’ve been wanting to work with for a while.
It’s actually based on a typical central TX sunset.
I had a previous passion on wine production and this was the branding for my central TX wine persona. Local terroir, if you will. Again, old and new.
Breaking from my woodcut style though keeping true to my printmaker inspiration, allows me to open up in ways my typical style may have not provided.
As an example, my “Car Parts” collection lacks “something”
My wife described this as a Coke ad… 🤔🤦♂️🙇
As usual, she’s right…
I switched to traditional etching imagery tho splattered with contemporary color treatment.
Juxtaposition is a key part of my work, often old/new.
Etching is a typical print approach - linking to my woodcuts and love of the printing process. Part design, part elbow grease.
If curious, Xinomavro is a less known (globally) wine varietal.
I was looking for something old, classic, and artisanal.
I also like wine.
But I needed a holistically new track of work that opened up new doors.
Enter Xinomavro, stage right.
As I did later with my “Collection of Hands” which also serves as an easier entry point for my work including lower priced items and free mints.
