This scene in Blade of the Immortal was fucking INSANE. The raw emotion of Hyakurin reliving the death of her son was so powerful. This anime is definitely a top contender from this year right behind Vinland Saga 🤯

To me the most disheartened moment in this episode was when Thorfinn told Leif that his actions thus far will never be enough as long as Askeladd is still alive. Thorfinn is so hell bent on getting revenge for his father that he is blind to the things he left behind as a child.

We then see Askeladd become unbearably angry for the first time in the series due to King Sweyn's cheap & dirty words. It was nice to see Askeladd show another emotion besides being sarcastic all the time. I wonder what else Askeladd has up his sleeve?
