1997: Almost every significant release from this year is on my “shame” list, so my answer is Princess Mononoke, a wonderful movie that’s not even one of my favorite Ghibli movies.

It’s a staggering achievement, though. The huge, urgent thematics, the unreal visuals—an all-timer.

I’m excited for #ThorLoveAndThunder for obvious reasons but also because I hope it means everyone reads @jasonaaron and @rdauterman’s amazing run with Jane Foster’s Thor.

It’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever read and I need everyone and their grandma to know how good it is.

It’s pretty wild that “Hilda” is secretly one of the best shows on Netflix and also has a movie that’s secretly one of the best movies of the year.

Go watch the show and then the movie, ya scrubs.

Is #Bloodborne a really, really good game? Yes, yes it is.

Am I shocked that 2021 is the year I get really, really into FromSoftware games? Definitely.

Am I also really, really glad it is? Hell yeah.

After ~50 hours of dying, dying, and more dying, I have beaten the entirety of Demon's Souls.

No, I can barely believe it either.

Yes, I'm going to be insufferable about it.

“Hilda” is everything I love about cartoons and is *by far* the most life-giving thing I watched in 2020.

It’s compassionate, curious, has a heart of pure gold, and makes tolerance and conservation a staple of all its adventures.

I hope @netflix gives us 100s of episodes.

“Seven Secrets” is a magical cocktail of familiar genres and story beats done better and with more style and heart than you’ve probably ever seen them done before.

Everyone involved is firing on all cylinders and it’s a thrill to watch.

@boomstudios is on a helluva hot streak.

If you ever wanna devastate yourself emotionally and also make your eyes bleed because of art, binge read all of @kierongillen, @HansStephanie, and @ClaytonCowles “Die.”

I remain hopelessly enamored with the terrifying, wild, and imaginative world this team has created.

The two-part “Justice League” story @JeffLoveness wrote awhile back (and Robson Rocha, @DHenriquesInks, @rfajardojr, and @TENapolitano brought to life) knocked me on my ass and made me feel Emotions™️.

Sad and introspective superheroes are my favorite superheroes. ❤️
