“Scarenthood” has the visual energy of Pixar, the language of Fargo, and the horror of something akin to “Hill House.” So obviously I love it.
Easily one of the strongest debuts I’ve read this year. 110% on-board for the ride @NickRoche and @ChrisOHalloran have planned.
Let’s start with “Strange Adventures, because it’s lived rent-free in my mind for months.
@TomKingTK, @MitchGerads, and @DocShaner elegantly marry multiple genres and themes together and proceed to mine them for all their worth. This is rich, urgent, and terrific storytelling.
