but what i didn't get done in personal work, i actually had some pretty fun commission work this year!! including a couple REALLY BIG PROJECTS that were (and are!) really good experiences! they've taught me a lot about improving my workflow and getting stuff done more efficiently
i've been pretty out of steam as we hit the end of the year, but with some friendly encouragement i was able to finish ONE LAST LILLEHOLIDAY🦌🎸
at least in the middle of no-internet existential december, i was able to have a bit of fun drawing some fancy vampire threads
so i realized my half-keyboard didn't have the little f-key touch typing bar thing, so i was stickering up and decorating my keys, when i realized that one of the stickers sounded.... familiar.........
ahoy! a recent commission of Trident the tiefling for @adam_trostle! he's bright purple, but it's kind of impossible to portray that in sepia 😂 but i think he still turned out very jolly, yarr
what with it being spooky season, and also seeing a lot of other people riding along on that sweet sweet ten-year cycle, i wanted to try my hand at designing a werewolf character?? no name yet, design will probably change over time, but I THINK SHE'S CUTE
hello #PortfolioDay! My name is Ashley, and I'm a character designer/illustrator, currently working in tabletop and RPG! i also have fun with prop and costume, especially fantasy and fairy tale

i ideally would have had another Super Crispy Lineart for the first picture, but i didn't want to use that one other picture of Lillehall again 😂 but it's really fun charting where each piece sits between these two extremes
5) setting tones! i don't do this every time i set a composition, but i knew this piece was going to have very particular light and shadows. the figure in the middle has the brightest light and sharpest shadows, while everyone else had dark and diffused light
