It was not intentional but this piece has a sort of fun "hold on for a moment I need to relearn this palette give me a sec, okay?" vibe— a slow gain from "what?" to "oh."

I started this in December actually but got distracted and the draft ended up half-completed in a folder of experimental doodles until I was all, "FUCK NORTHERN IS AGING I SHOULD DO SOMETHNG" then remembered I already had half-done something.

..anyway that is how I spent the second twelve hours of 2023.

Got a few more cycles done in ONI, then went on to #pixelart! Started @Virus610's DTIMS study (SO MUCH SHADING BRUSH) then some #rejectedpalettes practice!
Got raided by @ExpiredPopsicle and then went on to @norkwoz!~

Finished these mockups for @batfeula's #pixelart #datingsim collab!
I redrew my robot lady Zdenka, who originally appeared in a #pixel_dailies dating sim collab from like 2019~
The layout here is a bit cluttered but I still think it turned out well <w<;

Turns out that neither of #ASEprite's two stock NES palettes match the one on Lospec and all three are different from the one on Wikipedia, which I liked best and ended up using~

Because I was talking about them before, here are some of the #paletteswap versions as well~
None of them have undergone any great amount of fine tuning and I chose the ones I thought had the most interesting themes and contrast.

In all cases, I am glad the swaps worked so well~
