the answer to this question by the way is venti genshin impact, because in the manga prologue he name drops important figures from three different creation mythologies that are from a "distant world"

venerare was an incredibly important historical figure to mondstadt, and the links between the statue of barbatos in the square, the midsummer's courtyard domain, and tsurumi island are interesting to think about.

as seen in the manga, venti cares a lot about this statue.

this emblem fischl wears on her clothes looks awfully like the tsurumi island wards.

another tiny detail i noticed (on top of the dozen other similarities between venti & travelers clothing. no exaggeration.) - this "circle diamond" motif traveler has persists even on venti's little feather trinket.

old gods pass on but their wills still influence the land... fragments of these gods don't fully have their power or memories restored... it's just like venti said in the manga's prologue about creation myths in distant worlds, and this pattern keeps repeating in every new story
