has acquired the nick name "Smut" because he admired legendary racer ,engine builder Smokey Yunick so much, his crew once tagged the name "Smut" on Jimmy because that is the residue that is left behind "smoke" !
There is not much on a race car that Jimmy can not do

Jim Baker was a very good journeyman race car driver in the Northeast! Opening day at Reading with a new ride and a new car only last a few laps. In warm-ups a stuck throttle in turn 1 at Reading destroyed this car. A week later the team returned and the year went much better.🔧

Wally Dallenbach, Sr started racing stock cars around New Jersey and wasted no time getting to Indy and nearly winning the 500 in 1975. A 5 time winner in Indy cars, Wally later played a huge part in the safety of the Indy car series and retired living the good life in Colorado !

Dave Kelly stormed the modified circuit winning races at Reading, Bridgeport and dominating US.13 than made the switch to sprint cars to set records with URC and winning races in Central PA. Dave was a fan favorite whose driving style was " take no prisoners " style on the track

Tighe Scott had quite a interesting racing career! Starting in the Northeast Modifieds and winning his share of events he went to Daytona to run the 500 in 1976 with no asphalt experience to a 6th place finish in the 500 in '79, Tighe decided to head home and run so sprint cars!

Elmo Langley was a tough ol' bird!
A independent who more than paid his dues. His on track performance had some highs, but his mentoring of young drivers was his specialty! Kenny Schrader was a student of Elmo's that went on to success. His hard work was a way of life! 🏁

Bobby Marshman was a fast and very smart race car driver! His understanding and feel for the race car was far ahead of its time. His success in the sport was starting to blossom until a tire testing crash at Phoenix during the off-season in 1964 took his life way to early. 🙏🏁
