Old auroras vs New. My goodness i've improved!

A recent Microwave pass shows that #CycloneAmphan has a VERY strong, compact eyewall. The storm is now sporting a clearing eye, and very intense structure.

Latest JTWC estimate has it at 150MPH and 919MB.

A recent microwave pass over #CycloneAmphan #Amphan shows the development of an eye. Visible imagery confirms that there is a very shallow, cloudy eye forming.

This is occuring despite dry air and wind shear affecting the core, meaning that it may indeed be starting to intensify

#Amphan #CycloneAmphan #AmphanCyclone is so massive, its moisture plume covers all of the Bay of Bengal, and almost all of southern India. A good chunk of the moisture enters the Arabian sea, too!

Such a large storm can greatly affect the atmosphere around them to benefit them.

01B in the Bay of Bengal is wasting no time in getting well-established, as an absolutely MASSIVE system. All models agree that it will likely rapidly intensify into a major cyclone and impact the Bengal region.

Highly, Highly Doubtful that BOB-01 gets as strong as the HWRF shows it, but all the models save for CMC develop it into well below 940mb.
