Another example: Kyriena's rainbow wings look pretty bright and colorful, right? Guess what- the greens and blues are pretty desaturated here too. Here's her actual wing colors, and then her wings at full saturation for comparison.

Like this part was supposed have more exposition but then I remembered that almost the entire comic so far had happened within 24 hours + he just had an unexpected nightmarish mindtrip so he just kinda sat on the floor instead because that's what I'd probably do.

The big chest glowy is the aural center, btw. It's where the body produces aural energy that is naturally extended into wings and racial abilities, and can be used to power alchemy.
