Just popping in to say that Wicked Things (by @badmachinery and Max Sarin is my favorite, favorite comic.
5) Left: Whoofy is the son of the legendary Ape-Whale, the deceased Gang Boss of the Monsters. Ape-Whale's name, reputation, and relationship with his son are homages to Godzilla and Minya in All Monsters Attack (1968).
2) Daniel, known elsewhere in the books as The Creature from Devil's Creek, is a reference to any number of North American goat-like cryptids, though his backstory is decidedly more satanic. Storywise, he's the new guy who is not at all cut out for prison.
Excellent pandemic reading: GIANT DAYS. I'd only read bits and pieces of this before, but now a good chunk of it is on comixology unlimited. Gorgeous, hilarious, engrossing, and -- not to make too little of this -- McGraw is my style icon.
