I'd say if I was doing one of these for Mike...
"He Who
Logically
Defines
All "
namely because he's not a very emotional person and uses logic to solve any and every problem, even those of the heart. https://t.co/zcFTirx2X4
got a LOT done in the last day or so. and it was definitely nice to take a break from working on battle related stuff. tho I do have one more summon to do skills for and I need to go over each skill and test them to make sure they function completely as intended. Fade's turn now.
Each main playable character plays differently in battles. Mike has raw power, but lacks combos to stun fast and is slow. Ray lacks raw power, but is quick and stuns faster with combos. Diana is somewhere in the middle. Their summons sorta balance them out tho in ways.
I think it'll be fun replaying stages with each of the main 3 party members in order to see the entire story/all the different dialogue. plus there's a treat for those who do. anyways, here's a pic of everyone's favorite future sight having mage... Diana Melendez.
I've finally got a name for the summons, "Anxieties". I think that sounds cool and fits with the overall theme of the game. it's funny it took me from 2003 to now to come up with a name for these kinds of characters in the lore. All this time I've called them Panic Forms...
Here's King, Davis' panic summon. He has no face to represent Davis' complete lack of emotions at times. taking stone faced to another level. It's never known what he's thinking because of this. Regardless, he'll protect Davis at all costs.
1. Mike Barnes- genius tank
2. Ray Groves- quick dps
3. Diana Melendez- anxious/powerful mage.
with the new structure having you start with only one of these 3 who are you picking first? Thankfully each has a summon to help them out. or... you can go it alone for the challenge!
These pop up whenever your alter ego does a Panic Trigger tech, aka super move/limit break type attack.
Here's the alter ego's for the last 2 characters. The structure of the game is also different now. You pick between Mike, Ray, or Diana at the start like a fighting game and go thru their story. I can't say much else on that yet.
one of the comic book concepts I've brought back is actually the idea behind the name "Panic Attack". select people would have panic attacks that would split forth an alter ego. Mike's is named Omar. the alters are mental energy given physical form. I wanted this back in the game
