- He wants to do better at balancing the characters who get the spotlight.
- He stays motivated by thinking of the people who are looking forward to the next chapter. Also because there still are a lot of stories he wants to tell.

- When asked what he'd say to get someone to read Black Clover, he says he's aiming to draw a passionate manga and that for him, it is a manga with a soul.
- He describes SJ as a happy hell and says it was his childhood dream to be published in Jump.

- The battles, story and environments of the manga "Berserk" were an important source of inspiration for Tabata. He wanted to make something in that spirit but in a Shonen style.
- Charmy is his favorite character.
