Izumi is, of course, primarily pictured with Ako and Sakura. However, since becoming an idol, she's also often seen with Makino, who despite being a bit older that Izumi has very similar sensibilities to her. Nanami is also sometimes seen with, forming Fata Morgana.
Ako and Sakura also know and care a lot for Izumi's brother as well, as any friends would given how much Izumi cares for him, and he actually ended up having a part in the reason why the three decided to become idols.
Izumi sometimes gets caught up in her own thoughts, for good or for worse, and while she's usually the one reining in Ako and Sakura, the two also do their fair share of keeping Izumi grounded when her analytical mind starts thinking a bit too far ahead.
She's also got quite a stubborn personality. She's never one to give up on something halfway through, even if it's not logical, and even if she's struggling, she always gives it her all to push through- she considers it to be one of her strong points aside from programming.
She'll play into lighthearted teasing or jokes with other idols sometimes, and especially so when she's with her two best friends- Ako seems to be a common victim of her playful poking. That being said, she gets easily frustated, almost pouting, when the Producer teases her.
While she's mature and analytical, she's far from cold. She's on the more reserved side, but is still an amiable person, and she's not a stick in the mud. She cares for Ako and Sakura deeply, but when it comes to taking care of herself, she sometimes makes careless mistakes.
Given her intelligence and her high level of responsibility, she is successful in school and is often considered to be a strong honor student and role model, a stark contrast to her companions Ako and Sakura. She is someone who truly enjoys school and learning, hence her success.
Izumi is an intelligent and responsible, but still friendly girl. The cool representative of New Wave, she became an idol with her best friends Sakura and Ako, the idea originally being Ako's own. She is a sensible and polite person who acts of the voice of reason often.
