I was devastated to hear about Mia Ikumi's passing Sunday night. She was one of my biggest inspirations growing up, and Tokyo Mew Mew has always been such an important series to me. I stayed up until 4 am drawing this tribute to her. She will be greatly missed.
@NormaEdManga Pues podráis licenciar este nuevo que se llama "Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Return" es un TOMO ÚNICO
I almost can’t believe the news about Mia Ikumi, her artwork has always held such a special place in my heart and I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without her as an inspiration. I hope she knew the positive impact she had on so many lives and how many people she inspired
For Mia Ikumi: Tokyo Mew Mew was my first and remains one of my most favorite anime ever. Thank you for the memories, the mew mews, and the bright, bright days spent dreaming with them. May you rest in peace.

I remember the first time I saw Mew Mew Power air on YTV when I was little and that was the first anime I had ever watched. Since then Mia Ikumi's series and art has always been a favourite of mine and remains memorable. It is sad to see her pass, especially...

Mia Ikumi’s art changed my life when I was a kid, and is the reason I started drawing - here’s just some of the Tokyo Mew Mew art I’ve made over the last nearly 20 years now. Thank you for everything, Ikumi-sensei. You will be missed 💖
Thinking about the core seed of my entire personality today, Tokyo Mew Mew was my first ever manga and now I'm just [waves hand] like this. Thanks so much Mia Ikumi

One of my favorite magic girls 💕 I wish Mia Ikumi could have seen everyone fall in love with her characters again. RIP
The art style that raised a generation of early anime fans and magical girl enthusiasts.

征海先生の訃報を受けて。今日何故か訃報を知る前に旧デザインに思いを馳せて「いつか描きたい」って思い、今描かないといけない気がしました。ご冥福をお祈りします。
Rest in peace Mia Ikumi.
Thank you for being a huge part of my childhood, Tokyo Mew Mew was one of my favourite majokko. 🍓
I owned some of the manga vols & would draw fanart of Ichigo & Zakuro numerous times on my notebooks! I even drew & wrote some terribly written & cringy stories of my Mew Mew oc. Mia Ikumi was the biggest reason why back then I wanted to be an artist. (2/5)
Mia Ikumi had such a huge impact on my childhood. I remember watching Tokyo Mew Mew (Mew Mew Power in the US) every Saturday morning as a kid & later on watched the whole series in Japanese w/ subtitles online! I use to annoy my brother about TMM all the time. (1/5)
Thinking about the Mia Ikumi illustrations I used to scour fansites for back when we had a family computer…and the ones I still carry around on my phone ♡

Very sad with the news of Ikumi's passing... Tokyo Mew Mew was so important to me as a magical girl fan, it really cemented how much I love this genre.
